Shuffling

Shuffling is how you mix the deck before a reading, and there is no single correct way to do it.

Some readers use an overhand shuffle, some riffle, and others simply spread the cards face down on a table and swirl them. If you have a big deck or small hands, the table method is kind to both.

Many people hold their question in mind as they shuffle, and stop when it feels right. Whether or not you do, it’s a moment to settle and focus.

Cards that pop out are known as jumper cards.
