The Clear Path – 3 Card Clarity Reading

Please note: This is a fictional sample reading created to show the style, depth and layout of a Sharon’s Tarot reading. It is not based on a real client, private situation or personal question.

Every Sharon’s Tarot reading is bespoke and written around your chosen question, the spread selected and the cards drawn. The level of detail you receive will depend on the reading you order, but each report is created with care, clarity and the intention of helping you understand the message of the cards in a grounded and supportive way.

Your Cards

Client Question

“I feel stuck and unsure whether to stay where I am or make a change. What do I need to understand before making my next move?”

For this example reading, I have used a simple three-card spread designed to bring clarity to the current situation, what may be influencing it, and the guidance moving forward.

Your Reading

Card 1: The Current Energy

Eight of Swords

The Eight of Swords suggests that the feeling of being stuck is very real, but it may not be as fixed as it currently feels. This card often appears when someone feels boxed in by their thoughts, worries, responsibilities or fear of making the wrong choice.

There may be a sense of going round in circles mentally. You might be overthinking the situation, trying to predict every possible outcome before taking action. The difficulty is that the more you think, the less clear things may feel.

This card does not say there are no options. It suggests that the options may be hard to see from where you are standing right now. The blindfold on the traditional card is important here. It can show a situation where fear, doubt or overwhelm is affecting how clearly you can see your path forward.

This card gently asks:

“Where am I telling myself I have no choice, when I may simply be afraid of the choice?”

Card 2: What You Need to Understand

The Hanged Man

The Hanged Man shows that this is not a moment to force an answer just for the sake of moving. There is wisdom in pausing, reflecting and looking at the situation from a different angle.

This card often appears when life feels delayed, but the delay has a purpose. Something is asking to be seen differently before a decision is made. You may need to step back from the pressure of “I must decide now” and ask whether the question itself needs reframing.

Instead of asking:

“Should I stay or go?”

You may need to ask:

“What am I hoping will change if I stay?”
“What am I hoping will change if I leave?”
“What part of me is ready for something different?”

The Hanged Man does not mean doing nothing forever. It means not rushing before you have understood what this situation is teaching you.

There may also be a theme of sacrifice here. Are you sacrificing your own growth to keep things comfortable?

Or are you considering a change before you have fully understood what you would be leaving behind?

This card asks for honesty, not panic.

Card 3: Guidance / Next Step

Ace of Wands

The Ace of Wands is a beautiful card to receive as guidance because it brings a spark of energy, possibility and renewed motivation. It suggests that the next step is not necessarily a huge dramatic leap. It may begin as a spark, an idea, an opportunity or a small action that reminds you of what excites you.

This card is strongly linked to confidence, desire, creativity and forward movement. After the mental restriction of the Eight of Swords and the pause of The Hanged Man, the Ace of Wands says that your way forward comes through reconnecting with what gives you energy.

This is not about forcing yourself into action from fear. It is about noticing what lights you up.

Your next step may be to explore an option, ask a question, update something, research a possibility, have a conversation or take one practical action that makes the future feel more alive.

The Ace of Wands says:

You do not need the whole path mapped out before you begin. You need one honest spark.

Overall Message

This reading suggests that you are not as trapped as you may currently feel, but your thoughts may be making the situation feel smaller than it really is.

The Eight of Swords shows the pressure and overthinking around the situation. The Hanged Man asks you to pause and look at things differently before reacting. The Ace of Wands then brings the way forward: small, inspired action.

This does not feel like a reading that says, “make a rushed decision immediately.” It feels more like:

Stop arguing with yourself. Step back. See the situation differently. Then follow the spark that feels honest.

There is movement available here, but it needs to come from clarity rather than fear.

Practical Guidance

Based on these cards, your next steps could be:

  1. Write down every reason you feel stuck, then separate them into facts and fears.

  2. Ask yourself what you would choose if guilt, fear or other people’s opinions were removed.

  3. Give yourself permission to pause before making a final decision.

  4. Take one small action towards the option that feels energising, even if you are not ready to fully commit yet.

  5. Notice what gives you a sense of life, motivation or possibility.

Reflection Questions

You may find it useful to journal on these questions:

  • Where am I limiting myself before I have explored all my options?

  • What would this situation look like from a calmer, wider perspective?

  • What small step feels exciting, even if it also feels slightly scary?

  • What am I ready to stop overthinking and start exploring?

Final Thought

The strongest message in this reading is that clarity may not arrive through thinking harder. It may arrive when you pause, change your perspective, and allow yourself to follow the first genuine spark of possibility.

You do not have to solve everything today.

You only need to recognise where your energy is beginning to return.
